Estates board shoots down I-5 traffic plan

WOODBURN — The board of directors of The Estates Golf & Country Club delivered a clear message to the city of Woodburn on the evening of Jan. 22: “No, it is NOT OK to use our parking lot as a detour route!” In an unambiguous vote, all nine board members of The Estates, a private association of about 1,500 homeowners, rejected a proposal that would have granted the city an easement to use part of The Estates’ parking lot to link two segments of County Club Road.
