Learning new strategies

Xavier Gispert (left) and Jason Renoud, both 19, plan their next moves in a game of chess. Both young men, who are currently housed at MacLaren Youth Correctional Facility, are taking advantage of the facility’s Chess for Success program, which not only teaches strategies of chess but also ultimately impacts decision-making and academic skills.
