Getting a boost from Down Under

A big reason for Gervais’ hot start has been the play of Australian exchange student Beth Turner, who leaves for home Monday

Beth Turner has been a huge part of Gervais’ team success this year, but the Australian exchange student will play her final game in a Cougars uniform this Friday at Sheridan. Turner will return to her homeland to get ready for the new school year, which begins in February.
GERVAIS — With post Beth Turner leaving Gervais at the end of the month, the Lady Cats basketball team’s 12-5 record could go south.
